GCSE Tutor (Liverpool / St Helens)

Up to £30 per hour | Part-Time | Up to 20 hours per week

We are currently recruiting an experienced GCSE Tutor to provide 1:1 and small-group tuition to pupils across the Liverpool and St Helens area.

We are an education provider committed to making a positive impact on young peoples lives by supporting their academic progress and confidence. Our work involves supporting pupils who may be struggling in mainstream education or require additional targeted support during school hours.

Location: Schools or community settings across Liverpool / St Helens

Position: GCSE Tutor

Type of Work: Part-time

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week

Working Times: School hours only (9:00am 3:00pm)

Pay Rate: Up to £30 per hour (depending on experience)

Requirements:

Right to work in the UK

Relevant UK experience as a Tutor, Youth Mentor, or Teacher

Ability to teach GCSE-level content confidently

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply and pay for one

Two professional references

Strong communication and organisational skills

(QTS is desirable but not essential)

Further Information:

The successful tutor will be patient, reliable, and adaptable, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging GCSE-focused sessions, tailored to each pupils individual needs, and help them make measurable academic progress.

Tuition takes place during school hours only, so applicants must be available between 9am and 3pm on weekdays. This role is ideal for educators seeking flexible, part-time work with competitive pay.
