Summary
Role overview
About us.
Alamy isn’t just a global visual content platform; it’s the fuel behind the creativity of some of the world’s most recognisable
brands. With millions of high-quality images, videos and visual experiences, and a global community of over 150,000 contributors,
we help customers tell powerful stories every day.
About the role.
We’re creating a brand-new Content Researcher role to help Alamy identify and unlock previously unrealised distribution revenue
across our international partner network.
This role exists to surface opportunity. You’ll use your picture research and content expertise to spot where valuable content is
currently underused, where market gaps exist, and where new collections, themes or approaches could drive revenue.
Working across editorial and commercial content, you’ll turn insight into action to help our partners pitch, promote and sell more
effectively.
Because this is a new role, it comes with genuine opportunity. You’ll help shape priorities, ways of working and best practice,
working closely with colleagues across research, marketing and distribution. It’s a role for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety
and commercial problem-solving in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
The role is hybrid, with a typical week involving three days in the office.
What you’ll be doing.
* Identifying underutilised content, market gaps and emerging themes that represent new or unrealised distribution revenue
opportunities
* Curating and compiling tailored visual content for international partners in response to briefs, delivering high-quality
lightboxes via dynamic links
* Developing content ideas and collections designed to unlock demand and improve commercial performance
* Reviewing daily content ingestion and flagging commercially relevant imagery to appropriate international partners
* Planning and building weekly, monthly and annual country-specific collections to support partner pitching and sales activity
* Adding and verifying missing content within collections, including gap-filling from contributors with territory restrictions
* Managing editorial and commercial research requests via Salesforce, prioritising by partner deadline and revenue potential
* Collaborating with other researchers, marketing teams and wider departments to share insight and develop ideas for
international markets
* Tracking trends in photography, media and popular culture and sharing insights
About you.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring strong picture research skills alongside a natural commercial instinct. You’ll also
demonstrate:
* Experience in content or picture research, content curation or a related visual content role
* Excellent visual judgement, with the ability to assess relevance, quality and commercial potential
* A proactive, opportunity-focused mindset, with confidence spotting gaps, patterns and untapped value
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities to deadline
* Clear communication skills and confidence working with internal teams and external partners
* Comfort using CRM systems such as Salesforce (or the ability to learn quickly)
* Curiosity about international markets, visual trends and cultural storytelling
* An agile approach and enthusiasm for helping shape and grow a newly created role
What we offer.
Alongside a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
* 5 weeks’ holiday plus 8 public holidays
* Holiday purchase scheme
* Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay
* Company pension
* Life assurance (4x salary)
* Annual wellbeing day and volunteering day
