Summary
SEN Tutor (South Manchester)
Up to £30 per hour | Part-Time | School Hours
We are currently recruiting an experienced SEN Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition and tailored educational support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across South Manchester.
We are an education provider committed to making a positive impact on young peoples lives by supporting their learning, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. We work closely with schools and local authorities to support pupils who may be outside of mainstream education or require additional targeted support.

Contract / Position Details:
Location: Schools, alternative provisions, or community settings across South Manchester
Position: SEN Tutor
Type of Work: Part-time
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
Working Times: School hours only (typically 9:00am 3:00pm)
Pay Rate: Up to GBP30 per hour (dependent on experience)
Requirements:
Right to work in the UK
Proven UK experience working as a SEN Tutor, Teacher, or within an SEN setting
Experience supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Ability to plan and deliver personalised learning programmes
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply and pay for one
Two professional references
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
(QTS or relevant teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential)
Further Information:
The successful SEN Tutor will be nurturing and adaptable, with the ability to engage learners who may have experienced barriers to education. You will be responsible for creating and delivering tailored 1:1 sessions that support academic progress, emotional regulation, and re-engagement with learning.
