Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for a Cleaner to join a team working across industrial environments in Dewsbury. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well-organised workspaces and is comfortable working independently in industrial settings.

Key Duties

  • Clean and sanitise designated industrial areas, including floors, machinery, and equipment.

  • Empty waste bins, replace liners, and clean and disinfect waste receptacles.

  • Dust and wipe down surfaces including desks, chairs, and worktops.

  • Clean and restock restrooms with required supplies.

  • Refill cleaning materials and report shortages or issues to supervisors.

  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, and steam cleaners.

  • Follow all health and safety procedures and site protocols.

  • Communicate with clients to ensure cleaning standards and expectations are met.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Cleaner, ideally within an industrial environment.

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, including safe handling and storage.

  • Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment.

  • Good physical stamina and ability to carry out manual tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

  • Good communication skills and a professional approach.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.

  • Reliable transport to travel to industrial sites in Dewsbury.
