Summary
A dedicated and reliable caretaker responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and well‑organised school environment. The role involves carrying out day‑to‑day maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, upkeep of indoor and outdoor areas, and monitoring the condition of school facilities. The caretaker oversees the opening and securing of the premises, ensuring that buildings are accessible to staff and pupils while maintaining high security standards.
Additional responsibilities typically include managing cleaning supplies, supporting contractors working on-site, conducting regular safety checks (such as fire alarms and emergency exits), and responding promptly to any issues affecting the smooth running of the school day. The caretaker works closely with school leadership and staff to ensure the environment remains welcoming, functional, and compliant with health and safety requirements.
Hours: afternoon shift:
1 to 7 Monday to Thursday
11 to 5 on Friday
with additional hours
