Summary
The Deputy Head of Performance and Quality in the London Probation Region plays a pivotal role in driving excellence across the region. This position leads the Quality Development team and provides line management for Quality Development Senior Probation Officers (SPOs). The role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of quality development initiatives, including designing and delivering workshops and briefings at team, departmental, and regional levels, while embedding best practice standards and ensuring robust quality assurance processes are maintained. In addition, the Deputy Head deputises for the Head of Performance and Quality, assuming leadership across all areas of the business when required. This includes providing strategic oversight, supporting operational priorities, and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. By championing continuous improvement and supporting practitioners, the Deputy Head enhances service delivery, improves outcomes, and upholds organisational priorities for performance and quality.
