Summary
Rikama Education Limited are currently working with an SEN School that are looking for an SEN Maths Teacher with knowledge of Teaching Maths at both Functional & GCSE Level.
If you have had previous knowledge of subject specific curriculum development, this would be an added bonus.
As an SEN Maths Teacher you will be working with pupils with ASD / SLD and/or Behavioural Needs and mental health conditions (SEMH). Ideally you will have experience in Teaching both Functional Level and GCSE Maths to KS,3 & 4.
The school will require you to have experience of delivering lessons with varied learning objectives and planning differentiated learning within those lessons. Classes will be 6-9 students with full Teaching Assistant support.
As a SEN Maths Teacher, your responsibilities include:
- As an SEN Maths Teacher on long term supply you will be responsible for planning and marking.
- Implement behaviour management techniques to create a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Support children with special educational needs, including those requiring speech therapy or applied behaviour analysis interventions.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive mathematics lessons tailored to the age and ability of students.
The School will look at Teachers from a mainstream background as well as SEN; however if not your first subject, you must have the ability to develop and deliver Maths to the required level.
The school has a pupil centred approach to education, with an excellent support team and SLT as part of the extended team.
