Summary

Portering Manager - Kings College Hospital

  • Up to £55,000 DOE
  • 40 hours per week
  • 5 days out of 7 to suit business needs

We\\'re currently recruiting a Portering Manager to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

Portering Manager will have:

  • Experience of leading and managing a portering team in a healthcare environment
  • Experience in ensuring promoting and ensuring compliance to H&S requirements
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Organised and considered approach to problem solving
  • Self motivated and able to adapt to a changing environment
  • I.T. literate

Job Role Specification

  • To have a knowledge of the portering services in hospitals and the operational challenges and opportunities faced on a daily basis
  • To have excellent communication skills in order to liaise with a broad range of people
  • To possess excellent management skills in order to organise and deliver a consistently high standard service
  • To possess excellent leadership skills in order to inspire confidence and represent Company values
  • To demonstrate sound judgement and critical decision making
  • To continually strive for simple, efficient ways of working
  • To be able to develop and implement innovative solutions and remove barriers to change
  • To have a good understanding of H&S, particularly in a healthcare setting
  • To be commercially aware and take ownership for the financial performance of the service
