Job title: School Administrative Assistant
Salary: Hay 10 (point 8-11). £26,824 -£28142 pa pro rata.
Hours: 26 hours per week plus 2 days. A small number of hours maybe required during the school holidays which will be paid on a claim basis.
Working Pattern: Core hours to be worked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. 8:30am – 15:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break.
Contract type: Part-time, Permanent.
Reporting to: Headteacher.
Location: Iron Acton CE Primary School. The appointment is with the Trust.
Start Date: As soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage emails, records, calendars, and school communications.
• Provide general admin support including filing, photocopying, and event organisation.
• Monitor pupil attendance and follow up on absences.
• Handle reception duties and enquiries with friendliness and professionalism.
• Support safeguarding procedures and online safety monitoring.
• Assist with financial administration.

About You:
• GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• School experience in admin, customer service, and working with children.
• Strong communication, IT, and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection.
• Friendly, welcoming , adaptable, organised and committed to the school’s values.
