Summary
In its role as the ‘11th Authority’ the GMCA strives to work with Local Authorities to deliver their strategic ambitions in an efficient and cohesive manner, utilising the GMCA’s skill base to alleviate local capacity issues. The GMCA Devolution Deal with central government builds on existing responsibilities over transport, business support, housing investment, employment and skills support, spatial planning and health. The role holder will support the delivery of GMCA’s work in collaboration with Local Authorities and strategic partners to help to deliver Greater Manchester policy objectives for Place at pace as well as develop innovative delivery tools and mechanisms
The role holder will be responsible for the management and delivery of key programmes of work, coordinating resources to ensure that project requirements and resource levels are fully identified. They will ensure that the programme of work is managed effectively using programme and project management methodologies and techniques working with relevant teams in the Local Authorities, the GMCA, and other key stakeholders. This will include supporting, reviewing and developing appropriate Governance structures and Programme Management methodologies.
Experience
- Experience of working in an investment, development, and regeneration environment.
- Experience of working on projects with multiple stakeholders from different teams and/or organisations and cultures.
- Proven ability to influence and develop joint objectives with stakeholders and decision makers, and collaboratively achieve those objectives through partnership working.
