Salary: Grade 4, £25,583 - £26,824 per annum. £13.26 - £13.90 per hour pro rata based on

Your role:
The Allocation and Accommodation team match households and family’s needs making best use of the full range of housing stock that is available particularly properties that have adaptations.
As a Lettings Assistant you will be part of a team of staff responsible for the efficient re-letting of the council’s 22.5k public sector homes in line with Wigan Council’s allocations policy. You will provide advice and assistance to vulnerable applicants and tenants in relation to their housing situations. You will also work as part of a team to allocate properties to people from the Housing Register. You will deliver allocations in line with the appropriate allocations process including any Local Lettings Policies and criteria restrictions ensuring that all homes are let in accordance with the policies of the Company.
About you:
You will be highly motivated with a passion for providing a quality service and you will give your best every day. You will work on your own initiative, be a problem solver and a confidant decision maker. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to explore with families and other agencies the exact requirements of a household. You’ll be a great communicator with people at all levels and will deal with situations in a professional manner and handle confidential and sensitive information tactfully.
