The school is now seeking a passionate and motivated Year 4 teacher to cover maternity leave beginning after February half-term, continuing until the end of the academic year. This is a full‑time position, though a part‑time arrangement may be considered for the right candidate.


Your new role

  • Delivering well‑planned, engaging and purposeful lessons for a Year 4 class, ensuring pupils are inspired and supported.
  • Working closely with colleagues to maintain consistency, continuity and high‑quality learning across the phase.
  • Following the school's curriculum while adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support.
  • Monitoring progress, keeping accurate assessment records and providing meaningful feedback to help pupils move forward in their learning.
  • Contributing positively to the wider school community and demonstrating professionalism, flexibility and a commitment to the school's ethos.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in primary settings, ideally within KS2.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Secure curriculum knowledge and the ability to deliver high‑quality, engaging teaching.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff, pupils and parents.
