Summary
Your new company
As the sole agency supplier to the HM Prison Service for the provision of maintenance trades and support operatives. Hays is seeking to recruit a Maintenance Plumber for HMP Full Sutton. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the prison service and can often lead to permanent opportunities.
Your new role
- Inspect, maintain, and service plumbing systems to prevent faults and ensure safe operation.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, and faulty fixtures
- Install and upgrade pipework, fittings, and plumbing equipment as required
- Respond to emergency call-outs, isolating supplies and carrying out urgent repairs
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations, completing reports and paperwork
You may be required to assist other trades as and when needed.
You will be required to complete and pass a security clearance prior to starting the position.
This is part-time 1 day per week.
What you'll need to succeed
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Plumbing
You must be able to pass a full prison security clearance and enhanced DBS (if required) (Hays and the MOJ are responsible for organising all security clearances and DBS') You must hold a valid passport or Full Birth Certificate & Photo Driving Licence at your current address.
You must have proof of National Insurance AND proof of address dated in the past 3 months.
