Summary

We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our Thames Water East Hyde STW team based in East Hyde, Bedfordshire.

Location: East Hyde, (Bedfordshire)

Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically astute Section Engineer to join our progressive wastewater construction team. You'll play a key role in bridging the gap between design and construction, providing valuable engineering support across the project while ensuring technical compliance to design specifications.

What will you be responsible for?As a Section Engineer, you'll be working within the construction team, supporting them in delivering projects safely, on time, and to high quality standards. Your day to day will include:

-Interpreting design documentation and ensuring works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications

-Managing site setting out and surveying activities, resolving design conflicts to minimise delays

-Coordinating temporary works designs and approvals in line with site requirements and programme

-Supporting construction teams with technical queries and driving value engineering initiatives

-Ensuring compliance with industry standards, quality procedures, and health and safety requirements

What are we looking for?This role of Section Engineer is great for you if:

-You have an HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or equivalent experience)

-You can confidently read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications

-You have practical experience working on infrastructure or wastewater construction projects

-You're collaborative with excellent communication skills and enjoy building relationships

-You're detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge
