Summary

We're looking for an Assistant Design Manager to join our Thames Water team for the northern Thames Valley region.Location: sites in the Thames Valley (Reading/Oxfordshire/Bedfordshire) - remote working available, with occasional travel to the Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire office required.

Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

About the roleAs an Assistant Design Manager, you'll play a vital role in delivering water and wastewater projects within our Thames Water Framework. Working collaboratively with our design and construction teams, you'll help ensure our solutions are safe, compliant and buildable. This role offers a supportive pathway to develop your design management career in an engaging and inclusive environment.

What will you be responsible for?As an Assistant Design Manager, you'll be working within the Thames Water team, supporting them in delivering safe, efficient and compliant non-infrastructure wastewater projects. Your day to day will include:

-Managing design processes for allocated projects from concept through to construction support

-Coordinating multi-disciplinary design inputs and supporting technical assurance

-Building relationships with design consultants, construction teams and client stakeholders

-Ensuring design outputs integrate effectively with construction methodology and site constraints

-Contributing to innovation and value engineering while developing your pathway to Design Manager
