Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to join our team in Mallaig. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing laundry items according to established procedures.
• Ensuring the correct use and maintenance of laundry equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Always maintaining a clean and orderly laundry area.
• Reporting any faults or issues with equipment promptly to management.
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Delivering laundered items to designated areas as required.
• Assisting with inventory checks and stock management of laundry supplies.
Requirements
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to follow instructions and health and safety procedures.
• Physical fitness, as the role may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Driving licence essential
Working Hours
Full-time April-October 35 hours+, Part time November – March 20 Hours
