Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable ADR Truck Driver to join our logistics team for our Class 2 Wagon. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties
Operate an 18 tonne HGV truck a to transport goods between locations
Use a forklift to load and unload goods
Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
Load and unload cargo, ensuring securement of goods during transit
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
Communicate with dispatchers regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit
Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including handling any queries professionally
Requirements
Valid driving licence suitable for operating large commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record
ADR and CPC qualifications
Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure cargo transportation
Ability to operate lorries confidently and safely
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
Excellent communication skills for liaising with dispatchers and clients
Physical fitness to load/unload cargo and perform vehicle inspections as required
Prior experience in commercial driving is highly desirable
