Summary
Food preparation and meal service for children in accordance with safety standards and Government legislation Be responsible for record keeping and ordering of food/supplies
Follow food safety protocols and maintain high levels of cleanliness in the kitchen area
Fulfil dietary requirements and assist in menu planning
Foster a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for children during meal times
Follow instructions from senior staff to support the overall wellbeing of children
Fulfil any additional duties related to food service as required by the nursery
Food safety certification or relevant experience in food handling
Familiarity with kitchen operations and meal preparation
Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team
Friendly attitude towards children and staff
Familiarity with dietary requirements for children is advantageous
First aid certification is a plus but not mandatory
Previous experience in a childcare or similar environment is desirable
