Bralin Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading industrial mineral specialist in Winsford to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to join a stable, long-standing team in a heavy engineering environment.
The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, your primary goal is to ensure all plant equipment and facilities are maintained safely and efficiently. You will play a key role in minimising downtime to ensure production targets are met while upholding the highest EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair mechanical plant equipment and site facilities.
Assist with basic instrumentation and electrical maintenance where competent.
Identify equipment weaknesses and suggest improvements to the Maintenance Manager.
Strictly adhere to safe operating procedures and EHS accountabilities.
Maintain a clean and tidy workshop and ensure work areas are cleared after maintenance.
Participate in the "on-call" rota and provide out-of-hours support when required.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will come from a heavy engineering background and possess a strong problem-solving mindset.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Fully qualified Maintenance Technician (Mechanical).
Experience with Motors & Gearboxes and Rotating Equipment (blenders/mixers).
Knowledge of Hammer Mills, Grinding Mills, and Rotary Valves.
Experience maintaining Conveyors (Screw & Belt) and Bucket Elevators.
Familiarity with Pneumatic Valves, Blowers, and Blowing Lines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable:
A valid Counterbalance Forklift (FLT) Licence.
