Summary
Responsibilities: The post holder will be part of the wider Beacon Medical Group team and will: Generic Work effectively alongside other teams and develop positive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders Promote a positive working environment Be responsible for your own continuing self-development, undertaking training as appropriate or required. Undertake other duties appropriate to the grading of the post as required. Be able to work flexible hours. Deal with complex and sensitive issues to ensure all duties are carried out within the Groups guidelines and policies To maintain a thorough knowledge of all the organisations policies and procedures and work in accordance with written protocols Ensure annual requirements such as DSQS are planned in and completed by appropriate deadlines as directed by the Operations Lead and/or Pharmacy Team Lead To undertake other duties appropriate to the grading of the post as required. Pharmacy Co-ordinator As part of the role the post-holder will have to work closely with Practice & Pharmacy Team in a professional manner to nurture a spirit of collaborative team working The Care Coordinator role is seen as a critical and evolving post to support the delivery of Enhanced Health within the PCN The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by the Pharmacy Team Co-Ordinator may include any or all of the following (See attached Job Description). Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Operations Lead or Pharmacy Team Lead, dependant on the current and evolving workload and staffing levels. Dispenser (Trainee) (Undertake training with the aim of completing an NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing) Project a positive and friendly image to dispensary patients and other visitors Deal with queries in a professional, courteous, and efficient way. Deliver a safe and viable dispensary service Prepare and dispense prescriptions and miscellaneous over-the-counter medicines/appliances Assist with stock control, ordering and re-stocking of the dispensary. Provide effective advice to patients relating to medications and lifestyle within the scope of their capability. Work independently, following the Groups processes and safe working practices. Be able to work flexible hours and work alone in line with the Groups lone working policy. Pay rate Pharmacist Team Co-ordinator (9.5 hours p.w) - £12.48 Trainee Dispenser (6.5 hours) - £13.42 Qualified Dispenser (6.5 hours) - £14.63 Contracted hours 1 x 16hr pw (Split Pharmacist Team Co-ordinator 9.5 hours and (Trainee) Dispenser 6.5 hours) Permanent or temporary Permanent Working Pattern 16 HOURS OVER 3 DAYS Monday Pharmacist Team Co-ordinator 8.30am 1.45pm (inc hour lunch) Plympton Health Centre Tuesday Pharmacist Team Co-Ordinator 8.30am 1.45pm (inc hour lunch) Plympton Health Centre Wednesday - day off Thursday (Trainee) Dispenser 8am-3pm (6.5hrs inc hr lunch) - Wotter Surgery Friday day off Note: Please refer to the attached Job Description for the full information and breakdown on the roles.
