We are currently recruiting for an experienced Nursing Home Manager to manage a well-established nursing home in Dorchester, Dorset. This is a senior leadership role offering a competitive salary of £60k–£70k, depending on experience.
Nurse-qualified Home Managers are preferred, however experienced non-nurse Care Home Managers with proven nursing home management experience and strong clinical knowledge are welcome to apply.
Nursing Home Manager – Key Responsibilities
Full management of a nursing home including clinical, operational, and commercial performance
Leadership and development of nursing, care, and support teams
Oversight of nursing care and clinical care delivery
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and maintain high inspection ratings
Drive quality, safety, and person-centred care standards
Manage staffing levels, budgets, occupancy, and financial performance
Build strong relationships with residents, families, commissioners, and healthcare professionals
Nursing Home Manager – Essential Experience & Skills
Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager or Care Home Manager within a nursing home (essential)
Strong knowledge of nursing and clinical care delivery
Experience managing CQC-regulated services
Confident leader with excellent people management skills
Ability to drive quality improvement and positive inspection outcomes
Qualifications (Preferred but Not Essential)
Registered Nurse qualification (RGN, RMN, RNLD)
Active NMC PIN
Candidates without nursing qualifications will still be considered if they have demonstrable nursing home management experience and clinical knowledge.
