Salary: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

TeacherActive are looking for dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistants to join our team and work across secondary schools in the Stockport area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting students’ learning, gaining hands‑on classroom experience, and making a real difference in education.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning, provide targeted help where needed, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
• Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist with behaviour management and help maintain a calm, positive environment.
• Provide support for students with additional needs when required.
• Help prepare learning materials and contribute to the smooth running of the classroom.
Requirements
• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent); further qualifications in education are desirable.
• Experience working with children or young people is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication, patience, and organisational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
