About the Roles
Long Term Futures is recruiting Teaching Assistants to join a number of welcoming secondary schools across Nottingham. These are long-term to permanent roles based within one school, offering consistency, stability and a clear route into permanent employment.
You will be supporting students who require additional help with learning, behaviour, confidence or engagement in lessons. These schools value their support staff and offer structured environments where Teaching Assistants play a key role in student progress and wellbeing.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant looking for full-time, long-term work in a supportive secondary school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students, including SEN support
- Support pupils with behaviour, confidence and engagement in lessons
- Help students follow routines and manage transitions throughout the school day
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a calm learning environment
- Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and SEN departments
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in supporting children/young people with SEN
- Calm, patient and confident supporting students who may find learning challenging
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
- Reliable, positive and committed to supporting young people
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
