Summary
Chef – Norton Manor Camp
£14.73 per hour | 37.5 hours per week
Contract: 5 days over 7
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Chef to join our catering team at Norton Manor Camp. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a professional, structured kitchen environment, supporting the delivery of high-quality meals to up to 300 service personnel.
You will be joining a close-knit team of 7, playing a key role in the day-to-day kitchen operation and maintaining excellent standards of food quality and service.
Service TimesBreakfast: 07:00 – 08:00
Lunch: 12:00 – 13:30
Evening Meal: 17:00 – 19:30
Early Shift: 06:45 – 14:45
Late Shift: 11:15 – 19:45
Shifts are worked on a 5-over-7 rota, including some weekends.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, cook, and present high-quality meals in line with service and Company standards.
Take responsibility for your section, ensuring consistency and quality at all times.
Support senior chefs with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Maintain excellent food hygiene, health, and safety standards.
Assist with stock control, food rotation, and allergen management.
Work efficiently across early and late shifts to support service delivery.
Previous experience in a similar role (Chef de Partie or equivalent) is essential.
Culinary qualifications are desirable (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A passion for delivering great food and a reliable, flexible approach to work.
