Summary

Job Title Support Worker
About the service user
L is a happy 7 year old boy who has a diagnosis of Autism.
L loves anything electronic and enjoys spending time playing with his switch or games on mum’s phone. He also enjoys being outside running and climbing and sensory activities like digging, he likes playing with water too.
L speaks a few words and has repetitive language, he makes sounds and babbles, he is usually able to make his needs known.



Hours and rate of Pay
56 hours available to be used flexibly in school holidays/weekends paid at £12.50 per hour.

Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.





What you would be doing…
Supporting L in the home environment engaging in activities he enjoys with a view to accessing the community together, such as going to the park, once you get to know each other.



The person I would like…
It is essential that you have experience of supporting other young people with Autism and have an awareness of the different behaviours the condition can bring.

L needs constant supervision you need to be alert and active to keep him safe.

L can struggle to regulate his emotions, you will need to learn techniques to manage these times.

Someone who is patient, kind & friendly and can communicate clear instructions to L.
