Summary

24 hours per week, Wednesday & Friday 2pm - 6pm, Thursday & Saturday 10am - 6pm.

About the role:

At St Teresa's we provide holistic care for 26 residents, including those living with dementia, in a warm, supportive environment guided by our values of compassion, dignity, and respect.

Your role as an Activities coordinator

At St Teresa’s Care Home, we believe every day should be filled with purpose, laughter, and meaningful moments. As part of our activities team, you’ll work alongside another Activities Coordinator to deliver engaging programmes that provide social, mental, and physical stimulation, enriching residents’ lives and promoting their wellbeing

Collaborate with another activities coordinator to plan and deliver a varied programme of activities tailored to residents’ individual interests and needs.
Organise group sessions, one-to-one activities, and special events that bring enjoyment and connection.
Organise and accompany residents on outings, ensuring experiences are safe and enjoyable.
Use digital systems to record and monitor resident participation and engagement.
Work closely with the care team to align activities with residents individual care needs.
Provide updates to the Communications Manager for newsletters and marketing.
Welcome families, friends, and visitors to join in activities, helping create a warm and inclusive community.
Assist with planning larger seasonal events or community activities.
What we are looking for

A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of older people.
Previous experience as an Activities Coordinator in an elderly residential care setting.
A creative, enthusiastic, and compassionate approach to planning and delivering activities.
Confidence using digital systems to record resident participation.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexibly.
Awareness of the specific needs of residents living with dementia.
NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or a relevant qualification
