Summary
Use a range of IT systems and databases to closely monitor and analyse capacity and demand and clinic utilisation across Community Paediatrics, and Neurodevelopmental Pathway. Work with the Operational Manager to identify opportunities to maximise clinical capacity and efficiencies. Have oversight of operational performance issues across the services and work with teams to standardised practice and improve efficiencies Work collaboratively with external providers, ensuring that key performance targets and statutory requirements are met. Investigate Datix Incidents and complaints in relation to the areas of responsibility. Ensure investigations are completed in time. Review with the teams any themes from the Datix re similar issues and apply lessons learnt. Lead service improvement for administrative functions Contribute to service transformation across the services Work closely with clinical teams to ensure administrative support meets service requirements Works independently and can maintain concentration for prolonged periods of time Provide staff with day to day management and ensure supervision arrangements are in place including timely management and recording of sickness absence, other absence, requests for study and annual leave etc., adhering to HR policies and procedures. Play an active role in the selection and recruitment processes for new Administration services staff, ensuring that recruitment is completed within specified timescales. Ensure supportive staff management arrangements are in place and carry out appraisals/personal development reviews (PDRs) for direct reports. Ensure all staff in your team/s have annual PDRs resulting in specific objectives and effective personal development plans Develop staff knowledge and skills to promote equality and diversity and address inequalities both in employment and service delivery. Ensure specific equality objective are included in PDRs. Develop a working culture that ensures Health and Wellbeing and promotes a Great Place to Work and Learning for staff. To undertake other duties commensurate with this grade of post in agreement with the relevant line manager.
