Summary
Clinical Duties Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations for patients with a wide range of health needs. Carry out home and care home visits as required. The practice is supported by the PCN Visiting and FrailtyTeam Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions in line with evidence-based guidelines. Participate in the duty doctor/triage rota. Prescribe safely and effectively in accordance with local and national guidelines. Manage clinical administration, including referrals, repeat prescriptions, test results and correspondence. Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records. Practice Participation Attend and contribute to practice and clinical governance meetings. Contribute to quality improvement, audit, and service development initiatives. Support practice objectives including QOF, enhanced services, PCN or ICB programmes (as applicable). Support and supervise clinical and administrative team members. Professional Development Maintain professional standards in accordance with GMC Good Medical Practice. Participate in revalidation, appraisal and continuing professional development. Provide clinical teaching and support to students, trainees and other healthcare professionals where relevant.
