Summary

About The Role

Are you passionate about technology and keeping people connected? We’re looking for an End User Services Engineer to join our IT team and help us deliver a seamless mobile experience for colleagues across LiveWest.

In this role, you’ll make sure our mobile devices – phones, tablets, and laptops – are secure, reliable, and ready to use. You’ll be the go-to person for managing our Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems, supporting hardware distribution, and providing expert advice to keep everything running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

- Configure and manage our Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
- Support hardware distribution for starters and leavers, including builds and repairs.
- Provide office-based and cross-site support, ensuring service levels are met.
- Recommend improvements to our mobile device portfolio and deliver user support.
- Maintain encryption, security systems, and compliance with change control procedures.
- Manage application updates, security patches, and compliance for mobile devices.
- Support laptop device management and take part in out-of-hours IT support on a rota basis.

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week.

Hybrid working is available for this role, working 4 days in the office dependent on business need. You will be based from our Exeter office.

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of End User Services Engineer, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:

Essential:

- Strong communication skills with technical and business colleagues.
- Logical, methodical approach to diagnosing and troubleshooting issues.
- Knowledge of MDM software implementation and operation.
- Good understanding of Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Proactive, can-do attitude with ability to identify business needs.
- Ability to engage with people at all levels and varying IT skillsets.
- Resilience to interruptions and focus on the bigger IT service picture.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, particularly listening and relationship building.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to other sites.
- GCSE or equivalent in English & Maths.

Desirable:

- Microsoft MD - 102 Certification - Endpoint Administrator.
- Microsoft MS-102 Certification - Microsoft 365 Administrator.
- ITIL V4 Foundation.
- CompTIA A + Certification.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification.
