You'll be part of a compassionate, reflective team that believes people thrive when they feel respected, supported, and understood. The organisation works collaboratively with people to build confidence, strengthen resilience, and create the conditions for long lasting wellbeing.

Your new role:
As a caseworker, you will provide social, emotional, and practical support to people whose mental health or emotional wellbeing may affect their ability to maintain a stable tenancy. You'll offer trauma‑informed, person‑led support that empowers individuals to build on their strengths and move toward independence.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading on needs assessments for individuals referred to the service
  • Co‑producing Individual Support Plans that reflect personal goals and identified needs
  • Reviewing and updating risk assessments and support plans with the person being supported
  • Working collaboratively with partner organisations such as mental health teams, local authorities, and housing providers
  • Involving people with lived experience in shaping, evaluating, and improving the service
  • Supporting people to access information, advice, and welfare benefit guidance
  • Providing resettlement support when individuals move into new accommodation
  • Maintaining accurate case notes and ensuring information is shared appropriately with colleagues
  • Delivering all support in alignment with trauma‑informed, relationship‑based values

What you'll need to succeed:
To succeed as a case worker, you'll need:

  • Two years' experience working in a similar service or directly supporting people managing mental health difficulties
  • Experience supporting people with welfare benefits
  • Experience managing a caseload and lone working in the community
  • Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice, attachment theory, and relationship‑based approaches
  • Understanding of safeguarding
  • A full driving licence is essential
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities
  • Self‑awareness, resilience, and a commitment to reflective practice and ongoing development

What you'll get in return:

  • Annual salary: £24,242.40
  • 26 days' holiday, increasing by one day per year, plus additional long‑service leave
  • A hybrid working model in Swansea, including one home‑based day per week
  • Trauma‑informed training and wider professional development opportunities
  • Regular reflective practice, complex case discussions, and supportive line management
  • A flexible, inclusive, and wellbeing‑focused working environment
  • A workplace culture that values diversity, lived experience, and the strengths each person brings
