You'll Fit Right Inn
The Inn Collection Group is a rapidly expanding, award-winning hospitality company with inns across the North of England. We are looking for a talented individual to effectively distribute rates and availability for the Inn Collection estate across multiple distribution channels, collaborating with the wider revenue team and ICG colleagues to drive profitable group revenue initiatives.
We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic Revenue professional who prides themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.
As a Distribution Revenue Manager, you are responsible for delivering the electronic distribution strategy of the estate and maintain/develop revenue opportunities through direct electronic channels, by managing and overseeing the usage of contracted electronic channel providers and the Fair Market Share of sites on those channels.Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Distribution management of the ICG estate
- Optimise systems PMS (Guestline), Channel Manager (Roomlynx), extranets (OTA’s), RMS (IDeaS G2) and booking engine
- Optimise all contracted distribution channels for these properties (GDS)
- Analysing booking patterns and market trends creating actions to drive a superior revenue performance delivering an optimal revenue/channel mix
- Upsell ancillary revenue project initiatives
- Revenue manage a small portfolio of ICG sites
- Demand generation tasks promoting rebook activities
- Manage group and corporate rate requests for selected properties
- Assist RM’s with onboarding of our new sites with new PMS system installs
- Monitor/review and spot-check systems and connectivity for all sites
- Onboard new partners and suppliers
- Troubleshooting system and rate failures
- Assist properties with rate/room type/product queries
- Identify rate parity issues and bring them to the attention of the suppliers to resolve
- Stay up-to-date with any impacting system changes or scheduled downtimes, and communicate this to the affected departments
- General ad-hoc tasks that support the smooth delivery of rooms, rates and bookings over all interfaces
- Utilise the revenue management systems and tools to ensure that revenue and profit are maximised
- Ensure the hotel is taking part in GDS marketing programs and load these on GDS
- Maintain relevant action plans and sales strategies for each account and ensure all information on all distribution channels is correct and regularly updated
- Proactively research potential new on-line accounts and partners, acting on all new e-commerce opportunities
- Ensure that property information and images are up-to-date on brand website, OTA’s and GDS screens in order to maintain accuracy of information available to prospective guests and bookers
- Conduct rate and content audits on contracted OTA’s, brand website and GDS screens in terms of search criteria, rate sequencing, rate descriptions and images; monitor and report on rate and availability parity are being maintained and agreements set are being adhered to.
- Project responsibility as assigned by the Head of Revenue
Shared Team Accountabilities
- Working with the Head of Revenue & Revenue team to develop and constantly review KPI’s to deliver exceptional performance within the Revenue Team
- Collaborate with members of the Inn Collection team seeking to promote the business
- Champion a revenue management culture throughout ICG
- Creating and maintaining key relationships to drive profitable sales
- Participate in weekly revenue & RMR meetings
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience in hotel/hospitality channel distribution role for 3+ years
- Essential experience of PMS & CRS system (Guestline preferrable)
- Proven growth in revenue delivery
- Channel manager experience for 3+ years
- Extensive understanding of distribution channels, OTA management and connectivity
- Multi-property experience - advantageous
- Great attention to detail
- Analytical – advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, sumif and lookup functionality)
- Solutions-based mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential
- Commercially astute with a desire to exceed budget expectations
- Strong analytical skills and numeric skills for fast data crunching
- Ability to build strong relationships with both on-site management team & senior management
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and best practice with colleagues
- Ability to manage workload and being able to work to tight deadlines
- Good listening skills and the ability to anticipate business needs
- High level of motivation, determination, and commitment
