  Key Responsibilities – Nursing Home Manager (Portsmouth)

  • Full operational and clinical management of a nursing home in Portsmouth

    
    

  • Act as CQC Registered Manager

    
    

  • Maintain and enhance CQC compliance, governance, and quality standards

    
    

  • Lead, motivate, and develop nursing, care, and support staff

    
    

  • Ensure delivery of outstanding person-centred nursing care

    
    

  • Oversee clinical audits, risk management, and quality assurance

    
    

  • Manage staffing, recruitment, retention, and performance

    
    

  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, GPs, and external professionals

    Essential Requirements

    • Nurse qualified (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) – essential

      
      

    • Experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Care Home Manager, or Deputy Manager

      
      

    • Strong understanding of CQC regulations, clinical governance, and safeguarding

      
      

    • Proven leadership and people-management skills

      
      

    • Passion for high-quality nursing and elderly care

      
      

    • Right to work in the UK

      
      

      Desirable Experience

      • Experience managing a fully compliant or Good/Outstanding CQC-rated nursing home

        
        

      • Strong clinical leadership background

        
        

      • Budget, occupancy, and performance management experience

        
        

      • Knowledge of local healthcare services in Portsmouth and Hampshire
