Key Aspects of the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to join our friendly and supportive team, helping to maintain and enhance our school estate. This varied role covers both general site maintenance and the upkeep of internal grounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine planned maintenance tasks across all site buildings as directed by the Domestic Bursar.
- Support with small planned and unplanned building projects (e.g., upgrading showers, bedrooms, or classrooms).
- Share responsibility for the proper care and use of all building maintenance tools and equipment.
- Use spare parts and materials efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Complete all duties safely, tidily, and responsibly, in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by site management.
- Maintain and cut all internal lawns and grounds using the equipment provided.
- Strim lawn and grounds edges as required.
- Maintain and trim internal hedges.
- Carry out general weeding and leaf collection when needed.
As a key member of the site team, you will be expected to follow all school and regulatory safety procedures, work safely at all times, and actively promote good safety practices.
Hours of Work
- 24 hours per week, worked 3 days out of 7 (including selected Saturdays).
- Standard hours: 07:00-15:00 (Monday to Saturday)
