Summary
We are looking to appoint a school counsellor to provide individual student counselling whilst offering support with a wide range of issues and topics within a caring, supportive and inclusive environment at Babington Academy. The successful candidate will hold a professional counselling qualification and be able to demonstrate and understand the developmental, emotional, social and educational needs of young people and have experience of working in an educational environment. Patience, excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills are essential to this role. You will also have an understanding of CAMHS and other local services as you will be liaising with outside agencies to access specialist care and be communicating with parents, carers and staff.It is a very exciting time to join us at Babington; we are an Ofsted Good school, with "Good Behaviour and Attitudes" (OFSTED 2023).
