Summary

Finance Assistant

Truro | £28,000 | Hours | Days of week working | Permanent Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis in Truro. This role will support the finance function by managing accounting queries, processing payments and assisting with data reporting, while being part of a happy and successful finance team.

Key Duties:
  • Manage and handle all payments and refunds, including cash, cheques and BACS, as well as banking and reconciliations.

  • Process payment requests and issue appropriate documentation in line with agreed timescales.

  • Help to build finance reports.

  • Manage and process the creditor ledger and bank reconciliations.

  • Handle all claims recoveries and salvage receipts, including reconciliation to the policy administration system.

  • Maintain and manage the aged debtor list.

  • Assist with data analysis and reporting requirements where necessary.

  • Handle and prepare all monies received for banking in accordance with company procedures.

Requirements:
  • Good Excel skills to assist with data reporting and maintaining databases.

  • Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Previous experience within finance or accounts.

What We Offer:
  • Salary of £28,000.

  • Study support to achieve AAT Level 3, if not already gained.

  • Working from home two days a week after the probation period.
