Summary
Overview
We are seeking skilled and motivated CNC Mill/Turn professionals to join our team. We have opportunities available for both day and night shifts. If you are an experienced CNC Mill/Turn Programmer, Setter, or Operator with a passion for precision engineering, we encourage you to apply.
Positions Available:
• CNC Mill/Turn Level 2: £16.80 - £17.80 per hour
• CNC Mill/Turn Level 2 (Night Shift): £16.80 - £17.80 per hour (plus 20% night shift enhancement: £20.16 - £21.36 per hour)
• CNC Miller Level 2: £16.80 - £17.80 per hour

Hours:
Start at 7am or 8am and finish at 4pm or 5pm with flexibility available. Monday to Friday with options to condense hours into less days. 39 hours per week basic.
Responsibilities
As a CNC Mill/Turn professional, your key responsibilities will include:
• Programming, setting, and operating CNC Mill/Turn Lathe machines with FANUC operating control systems to produce components to customer specifications.
• Producing offline and online CNC programs (experience with Edgecam software is advantageous but not essential).
• Inspecting your own work to ensure compliance with drawings and SPC requirements.
• Maintaining a high standard of engineering ability and adhering to 5C/5S principles to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• A recognized apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
• A high standard of engineering ability and experience as a fully skilled professional.
• Proficiency with FANUC controls.
• Experience in the aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of Nakamura machines with bar feed (advantageous but not essential).
Day-to-Day
Your daily tasks will include:
• Setting up and operating CNC Mill/Turn machines to produce high-quality components.
• Programming CNC machines to meet specific customer requirements.
• Conducting quality checks and inspections of your work.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace in line with 5C/5S standards.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure production targets are met.
