Summary

Purpose of the role:

Working closely and as part of the care administration team, you will ensure that Service users receive the highest standards of care and support through effective allocation of staff. You will work within a team to ensure quality standards are maintained and that care is delivered in a timely way in line with the service users’ individual needs and wishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• To answer calls being made to Caring Care and offer a support function with all queries received.
• Using different systems such as Access to log information.
• To work well under pressure and be excellent at problem solving and remaining calm under pressure.
• To react to changing circumstances such as staff absence and ensure care calls are still covered.
• To promote dignity, respect, and choice for service users, ensuring that the care teamwork within this ethos at all times.
• To be accountable to managers on shift, ensuring that they are kept informed of any concerns or changes to the health and wellbeing of individual Service Users.
• Ensure that care and support are provided for Service Users in a timely way upholding and improving standards of care delivery.
• To Liaise with Local Stakeholders such as Local Authority Brokerage Teams, Health Professionals, and carers.
• To ensure that all care staff engages in the activity and occupation programme of supporting Service Users’ involvement to enhance wellbeing and quality of life.
• Uphold and embed the company values and ethos at all times of Trust, Professionalism and Compassion.
• To act as a role model and be an exemplar to the care team at all times.
• To have a good understanding of individual Service Users’ needs and be able to respond effectively and responsively to changing needs.
• To ensure all care is delivered to the highest possible standard.
• Support and mentor new team members.
• To ensure the emotional well-being of Service Users at all times.
• To promote good communication among the team.
• To carry out reviews with service users and other individuals as required.
• To ensure you are proactive in applying for care packages and ensuring the package of care is set up in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all safeguarding processes that are always followed.
• To ensure you report accidents, incidents, and unsafe practices to the appropriate person.
• To ensure that all information is handled, stored, and shared by the General Data Protection Regulation.
• To carry out any reasonable management instruction.
• Supporting with On Call duties out of hours regularly as rota’d on.
