About the role We are recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join the Molecular Imaging team on a 12 Months Fixed Term Contract. The role focuses on supporting high standards of patient care while contributing to the effective and safe day to day running of the department. The Molecular Imaging department provides specialist diagnostic imaging services, supporting patient pathways across the hospital. The team works closely with radiographers, technologists, physicists, consultants and nursing colleagues to ensure safe, efficient and patient centred care within a fast-paced clinical environment. Key responsibilities Assist with the provision of efficient molecular imaging services Support patient care, safety, dignity and comfort at all times Act as a chaperone during examinations and procedures Perform, document and escalate clinical observations appropriately Support cannulation and venepuncture where required Prepare treatment rooms and assist with clinical and administrative duties Escort and transfer patients safely within the department Maintain cleanliness, infection control standards and stock levels Communicate effectively with patients, visitors and the multidisciplinary team Comply with Clinic policies, statutory and mandatory training requirements Key requirements: Previous experience working in a healthcare environment Ability to deliver patient centred care with dignity and professionalism Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Awareness of infection prevention, health and safety and confidentiality Reliable, flexible and able to manage workload under appropriate supervision Benefits We offer a range of benefits including flexible working and great career opportunities.
