Summary

​Equans is looking for a Night Security Supervisor to join our team, working on the Southern Water contracts in Otterbourne, Southern water, Sparrow Grove SO212SW, on a permanent basis. This role involves working 42 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £31,043.34 along with an attractive benefits package. Please note, you will be employed by Equans, supporting their Southern Water contracts. Shift Pattern:4 on 4 off7pm - 7am Candidates must have their own means of transport, such as a car, motorbike, or bicycle, as there is no public transport available near the site. Position Overview:We are seeking a highly experienced Security Supervisor to join Southern Water team. This role is crucial tomaintaining our high standards and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. The successful candidatewill be responsible for overseeing various administrative, financial, and operational tasks, ensuring compliancewith industry standards specific to the water sector, and supporting our team with expert knowledge andleadership. Experience in managing security operations in a utility environment is preferred · Hours of coverage 19:00 hrs to 07:00 hrs 4 on 4 off night shift dealing with visitors & contractors on behalf of client contacting & host liaison upon arrival of visitors & contractors & delivery of health & safety induction process for all visitors and contractors coming to Burham Southern Water – pre-registration of expected visitors or contractors check validation of PPM’s / permits to work ensuring compliance with southern water & government regulations· greeting customers and clients customer service focused to maintain a strong focus on customer service ensuring all interactions are professional and effective· ensure Security Protocols for the building by providing passes to visitors.· register Visitors in/out , notifying appropriate onsite authorised host based at Burham keeping track of the people arriving for appointments and when they leave the building.· e-mails responses to all Otterbourne related access control & request matters including company security health & safety onsite requirements· compile reports of quantity of visitors and staff control.· checking visitors, contractors and deliveries in and out of the area Daily Telephone enquiries· Unlock & lockup duties as and when required· Key management/issue keys / issuing daily access passes / daily auditing of access passes signing in & out· First aid trained & mental first responder & fire marshal trained respond to all fire alarms and support any onsite emergency evacuations & incidents alongside Otterbourne security team· Investigate any issues identify hazards, damages or reporting of incidents or near misses· Should the access main gates fail the security supervisor can support emergency access control of these areas until resolved· Daily support and assistance with packages and deliveries coming into Otterbourne for authorised staff – recording and storage of packages and deliveries in a timely manner Requirements: SIA License Door Supervisor: more than 2 years’ experience• SIA CCTV License: CCTV license required• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong experience and comprehensive reporting.• Additional Competencies: Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to workindependently and as part of a team.• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for clear interactionwith stakeholders at all levels.• Proactive Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to addressing potential security issues beforeescalation is essential.• Attention to Detail & Compliance: Attention to detail is crucial to ensure all security measures complywith regulations.• Continuous Improvement: The Security Supervisor should consistently seek improvements in securityprocesses and team efficiency.• Flexibility: Flexibility is required to manage security operations during non-standard hours, includingnights and weekends.• Customer-Focused Mindset: A strong focus on customer service is essential to ensure tenants andclients feel secure.• Operational Efficiency: The ability to manage payroll, billing, and purchase orders efficiently is criticalfor smooth operations.
