Summary

The appointment will be subject to the Terms and Conditions of Service NHS Medical and Dental Staff for the Speciality Doctor contract agreed with the Trust. The person appointed to the post will be required to maintain his/her private residence in contact with the public telephone service, and to reside within 30 minutes/ten miles by road from the Horton General Hospital unless specific written approval for a greater distance is given by the Medical Director of the Trust. The job description and the weekly timetable will form an initial job plan as outlined by NHS Medical and Dental Staff for the Speciality Doctor contract agreed with the Trust.This will be subject to an annual review by the Clinical Director or their nominee. The post is offered on a full-time basis. Annual leave entitlement is as per national Terms and Conditions of Service. Arrangement to take annual leave must be made with clinical colleagues. The Clinical Lead/T&O Staffing Manager and the local rota co-ordinator should be notified accordingly. The successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The successful applicants will need to provide details of referees who are able to provide a reference, covering a 3 year period.
