The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for providing high-quality care. Someone who is confident, positive and organised with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.
At The Old Vicarage our vision is to provide our four residents with the support to live fulfilled lives. This is achieved via our Autism Practice Model in alignment with good practice and national guidance.
We are seeking a Deputy who can join our existing management structure to carry on improving the lives of those we support via promoting and modelling best autism practice. You would focus on providing an outcome-based service, with person centred active support at its core. Day-to-day duties would include the management and leadership of the team and the running of the residential in the Service Manager’s absence.
Due to the nature of our service, the shifts will be on a rotational basis so the expectation is that the successful candidate can be flexible to the days and times worked.
Key Attributes:
Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care is essential
Autism Level 3 (desirable) or willing to work towards whilst in post (essential).
Previous experience in a Deputy Service Manager position or at least 3 years' experience as a senior support worker within an autism specialist service.
Strong knowledge and practical experience of working with a Positive Behaviour Support Model in line with the recommendations of the DoH positive and proactive care 2014 guidance and Positive behaviour support academy.
Excellent working knowledge of CQC’s regulatory framework and H&S compliance.
Experience dealing with complex behaviour.
Full UK driver’s license.
