Summary
Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for a Production Assistant (Material Preparation) to support our Clients production team in ensuring that materials, equipment an workstations are properly prepared to meet daily manufacturing targets. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organised and thrives in a hands on, fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
* Material Preparation to include: Cutting, cleaning, chipping, spraying of raw stock.
* Prepare and organise raw materials and components for daily production schedules.
* Safe use of power tools, table saw, jig saw, drill etc (training provided).
* Ensure correct quantities and specifications of materials are available for production teams.
* Assist with receiving, labelling and storing materials in line with company procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness and order in material storage and preparation areas.
* Preform quality checks to ensure materials meet production standards.
* Collaborate with production supervisors and team leaders to meet production deadlines.
* Record material usage and update inventory systems accurately.
* Comply with all health and safety policies and operational procedures.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to lift and move materials safely.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Good computer literacy for record keeping and inventory tracking.
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm/Friday 8.30am to 4pm.
