Job title: Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Batley, WF17 5JE

Working Hours:

  • 1 x Dayshift – Mon-Fri 10am-6pm. (40 hours)
    This role requires flexibility to work 7am-2.30pm or 2.30pm-10pm instead of the above hours in order to cover annual leave/absences.

Payrates:

  • £16.82 per hour

Contract type: Full time, 12 months FTC initially. Potential to go perm after this (paid monthly)

The role

Role Purpose:

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards and exceed customer expectations. You’ll be the guardian of quality, working across the factory to maintain compliance, support operational teams, and drive continuous improvement.

Key accountabilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Making sure every product meets customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Carrying out audits and inspections to keep our processes top-notch.
  • Investigating complaints and resolving issues quickly and effectively.
  • Supporting hygiene checks, allergen sampling, and line sign-off.
  • Helping prepare for audits and customer visits – showcasing our commitment to excellence.
  • Collaborating with teams to maintain compliance and improve processes.

Skills & experience

Main Ingredients for the Role:

Essential:

  • Food Safety Level 2 certification.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and internal auditing experience.
  • Strong IT skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive team player who can also work independently.
  • Quick decision-making, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience in a QA Auditor role.

Desirable:

  • Food manufacturing experience is a bonus, but not essential
