Early Years Practitioner
Pickles Preschool are looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join their friendly and professional team.
We are located within The Quayside Youth Centre. We enjoy an exciting indoor environment and are lucky enough to have a lovely outdoor area too. This established preschool looks after children aged from 18 months-5 years for 38 weeks of the year.
Our experienced team are looking to recruit someone to join them in caring for and educating our children for 28 hours a week within the hours of Mon – Fri 8.30am – 3.30pm, termtime only, days to be negotiated.
Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do at Pickles and therefore the role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and relevant references. Whilst a Lvl 3 qualification in Early years is desirable a lvl 2 qualification would be considered for the right candidate with experience in SEND being a necessity.
The setting believes that each child should reach their full potential and follows a very much child led approach alongside highly trained staff and a beautiful and exciting environment.
Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate activities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Collaborate with other team members to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Skills:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children
