We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' 11-18 secondary school & sixth form in West Leicestershire who are seeking an experienced and committed Health & Social Care Teacher. This is a full-time and long-term job to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year. Due to this being a long-term job, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking.
Job Description
- Delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across KS4 and KS5
- Supporting students in their understanding of core topics such as human development, health principles, safeguarding, and care values.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
- Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
- Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Health and Social Care
- Strong behaviour/classroom management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
