We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our team, providing essential maintenance services across multiple train stations along the Northern Lines.​

This role involves delivering high-quality electrical and building services maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and exceeding customer expectations.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general building services.​

You will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, supporting client requirements, and ensuring technical compliance across all sites.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical PPM and mechanical/plumbing PPM, as well as proactive and reactive maintenance tasks within agreed timeframes.

Perform building services maintenance, including basic fabric, HVAC, and related tasks.

Provide callout response as per the rota and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Monitor and control contractors’ work, issue Permits to Work, and ensure compliance with standards.

Complete Fixed Wire Testing and associated rectification works to maintain technical compliance.

Ensure all jobs are recorded accurately in the CAFM system and keep requesters informed of progress.

Conduct health and safety inspections, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with H&S regulations, COSHH, and company standards.

Support Asset Compliance Manager and Regional Facilities Managers in delivering services aligned with contractual requirements and customer satisfaction.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Background in Facilities Management with experience in varied building maintenance tasks.

Fully electrically qualified (18th Edition, Installations); additional building maintenance certifications are advantageous.

Comfortable working in a mobile role and willing to travel as required.

Full UK driving licence is essential.

Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and service providers.

Willingness to participate in random drugs and alcohol testing as required by ISS & Network Rail.
