Role: Locum Consultant in Adult Psychiatry
Rates: £100 - £125 per hour (PAYE)
Shifts: 09:00am - 17:00pm, Monday - Friday
Location: Bronglais General Hospital
Job Details: "Contribute and is part of the essential MDT decision making process to offer timely assessments, initiation of psychopharmacology and other clinical interventions: To avoid unnecessary admissions To reduce long length of stays within a complex patient population with numerous psychiatric and medical co-occurring conditions To reduce DToC position in MHLD patient pathway and for patients within DGH sites with complex medical and Psychiatric presentations To minimise the requirements of very expensive Out of Area Specialist placements, by enabling timely assessments, interventions to try and reduce community placement breakdowns resulting in avoidable admissions and then costly alternative placements Support and advice on timely repatriation of patients, especially when subject to the Mental Health Act Contributing and management of Community Treatment Orders (MHA) and Section 117 after Care provision Ensuring the Health Board adheres and fulfils the Mental Health Act requirements for Responsible Clinician Medical Reports for all Mental Health Review Tribunals and Managers Hearing for patients subject to the MHA (Inpatient and Community settings) "

What We're Looking For
Essential
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- MRCPsych or FRCPsych or equivalentGMC Specialist Registration for Radiology
- Full GMC registration with a specialist licence to practise in Adult Psychiatry
- CCT in Adult Psychiatry
- Able to be approved by Health Board under s22 of the mental health act
- A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
- UK Right to Work
