Summary

Full job description
Joining the established Stores Team, the Stores Operator position will support the daily management of materials from receipt of goods to despatch ensuring quality, delivery and cost targets are met.

Main duties and Responsibilities:

Preparation of goods for outward transit (including boxing, labelling etc.)
Reconciliation of works orders and job paperwork
Use of electronic systems to record/issue stock
Handling stock and moving it to the correct locations in a timely manner (some heavy lifting will be required and manual handling training will be provided)
Communication of shortages/stock discrepancies in a timely manner
Support completion of regular stocktake activity to ensure stock rotation is implemented
Achievement of targets without comprising standards/quality of work
Create and maintain all shipping documentation
Expedite any items that are required for urgent shipments working with all departments to ensure customer requirements are met
To prepare kit of parts for production to build
Perform quality checks on components
Work closely with colleagues across departments to achieve efficient and effective delivery of supply chain services
Maintain tidy, clean and safe working environment
Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to at all times
Other duties:

To undertake any other duties appropriate to the level of the post, as required.
Candidate Requirements (Essential):

Good IT Skills including use of Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to speak to different departments across the business
Highly organised and able to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
Able to demonstrate accuracy and excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The ability to achieve targets and personal objectives
Candidate Requirements (Desirable)

Previous experience of working in a Stores/Warehouse environment
Ability to collect data and analyse results
Knowledge/experience of ERP Systems
Knowledge/experience of stock control systems
Forklift Truck licence
