Temporary Production Operator

Hours: 38.5 hours per week

Unit 3 Hours: Monday – Sunday Continental Shift System (Day Shift: 06:00 – 18:00,
Nigh Shift 18:00 – 06:00)

Salary:

· Operator Level 1 - £29,073.67

· Operator Level 2 – £29,819.17

· Operator Level 3 - £30,713.74

· Operator Level 4 - £31,906.50

Contract: Temporary - 3 months fixed term

Senstronics Ltd is a joint venture company owned solely between two multi $B companies supplying thin film pressure transducers to the agricultural, construction, automotive, and industrial sectors. Having just won ‘Company Of The Year’ we have an exciting opportunity for a number of production operators to join our assembly and processing units

The role will contribute to the processing, build, assembly and calibration of products to achieve output targets, whilst focusing on quality and seeking opportunities for improvements. In doing so, the production operators will contribute to the organisation’s mission of Making Senstronics a Great Place to Work.

Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Operational

· Contribute to the efficient and accurate assembly of components, as directed by the relevant work stations within Unit 3.

· Load and un-load components and/or tools within a work cell.

· Monitor the progress of calibration and sort the components according to the result of the programme.

· Component assembly, machine welding, testing, part labelling and visual inspection.

· Ensure production/processing is completed within the required targets without compromising on quality or standards.

· Perform routine set-up checks of processes and tools.

· Conduct processes with an understanding of the impact of scrap and wastage.

· Inputting data into spreadsheets and recording results.

· Achieve targets without compromising on quality or standards.

· Liaise with key personnel across different departments to support the continuous improvement programme, including raising product issues and quality concerns.

· Participate in training as instructed by Team Leaders.

General

Candidate Requirements:
Essential

Good communication skills and the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Basic level understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
Good organisation and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable

Previous experience of a manufacturing environment.
Experience of a clean room environment.
Experience of measuring and monitoring quality.
