Job Title: Care Assistant
Line Manager: Registered Nurse
Job Purpose:
To support senior staff in delivering high-quality, person-centred care in line with Cedar Care’s vision of creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment where residents feel secure, valued, and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver compassionate, person-centred care that respects residents’ individual needs, preferences, dignity, and rights.
Support residents with personal care, daily living activities, nutrition, hydration, and social engagement.
Comply with CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, the Mental Capacity Act, and organisational policies at all times.
Accurately complete care records, daily notes, and incident reports in a timely and confidential manner.
Promote residents’ choice, independence, and involvement in decisions about their care.
Work collaboratively with nurses, colleagues, and other professionals to ensure safe, effective care delivery.
Recognise, report, and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, accidents, or changes in residents’ wellbeing.
Maintain a caring, respectful approach towards residents, relatives, and colleagues, contributing to a positive team culture.
Participate in handovers, training, and continuous improvement activities to support high standards of care.
